Mother Duck

MotherDuck is a cloud-based data analytics platform built on the open-source DuckDB, an in-process SQL OLAP database management system. It aims to simplify data warehousing and analytics by offering a serverless, easy-to-use service that extends DuckDB’s capabilities to the cloud. MotherDuck facilitates hybrid query execution across local machines and the cloud, enabling users to manage and analyze datasets efficiently, share data collaboratively, and scale their analytics workloads without the complexity of traditional data infrastructures. It was founded in 2022 and is designed to make “big data feel small” for a wide range of users.
