Tanz Nord

tanz.nord is a project developed in 2021 by the Dachverband freie darstellende Künste in cooperation with K3 – Zentrum für Choreographie | Tanzplan Hamburg, the Kultur- und Bildungszentrum Bad Oldesloe and the Tanz und Performance Netzwerk Schleswig-Holstein funded by DIEHL+RITTER/TANZPAKT RECONNECT.

With tanz.nord, four project partners from Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein created a structure for cooperation between dance professionals from both federal states for the first time. This pilot phase in 2021 initiated regional exchange and strengthened the independent dance scene in the north. It is the prelude to a sustainable dance network between Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, opens up new venues and aims at long-term audience development for dance. For the pilot phase of the project, three regional clusters in Schleswig-Holstein were focused on as well as venues in Hamburg’s outlying districts.
